Job description

Position title – ETL Test Manager

 

Job purpose:

ETL Test manager role in GDS delivery unit consists of below set of programs

• Manage couple of large Testing Service engagements which will include, Quality management, resource management, productivity, build efficiencies, time zone management and  deliverables in a distributed delivery model
• Actively Support leadership daily operations of the Sectors (Insurance, Banking Capital Markets etc.,)  
• Planning, designing, and executing testing activities related to ETL processes
• Overseeing a team of ETL testers, defining test strategies, and ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the ETL lifecycle
• Be Market facing and support onsite partners with RFP proposals, Client meetings etc
• Work closely with ETL developers, data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of ETL projects.
• Manage client relationships and be consultant for Program level test strategy 
• Handle people relations within the Practice, sharing best practices across projects, Planning and forecasting of resource requirement. 
• Advise clients on a variety of business process services that help identify, assess, manage and measure the organization’s capabilities

Your Operational (Delivery Unit) responsibilities:- 
As a Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Developing and maintaining the overall ETL test strategy and test plans, including data validation, performance testing, and regression testing. Prepare regular dashboards, reports for the management team Engagement Manager, Partners etc
• Lead and manage a team of ETL testers, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and providing guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with business analysts and data engineers to define and document test cases, test scenarios, and test data requirements.
• Oversee the execution of ETL test cases, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project timelines.
• Establish data quality standards and processes to monitor and improve data integrity throughout ETL workflows
• Identify and mitigate risks related to ETL testing, ensuring data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in engagement management, engagement execution and reporting, and client relationship building and management

• Manage the performance management for the direct reports, as per the organization policies
• Mentor Project and Program Managers to be able to perform their roles per the need of the project / program

• Plan for career growth paths of the team members in the delivery unit and mentor the team members to achieve their goals and objective

Requirements (Qualifications)
We are looking for the candidates with the following: (Qualifications)

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, accounting, finance or a related field (MBA or MS degree preferred) 
• Sound industry experience of 8 to 11 Yrs, with significant global exposure, eight (8) years of which should be in the specific business domain (Banking & Capital Markets / Insurance / Wealth & Asset Management etc),Strong exposure in managing Data & Analytics projects and having exceptional knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance standards

The successful candidate should possess strong knowledge of and experience in supervising and executing all phases of a project life cycle, based on proven project management and business management activities.  It is essential that the successful candidate possess a deep knowledge of business within the given sector and have a good understanding of applications that support this industry.

• Proven experience in ETL testing, including data validation, transformation, and loading.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust and manage high level, executive relationships. 
• Has participated and contributed in various capacities with sales opportunities and sales calls (ability to sell customer on value and services). 
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and business writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further designing, developing and integrating business operations with technology.
• Exceptional knowledge in working with large scale multi-dimensional data engagements using ETL statistical methods
• Facilitation of a Proof of concept
• Program/project management and implementation planning (PMO)
• Business transformation or Business Re-Engineering
