COMPLETE Infrastructure Specialist - IBM Cloud

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Be the resident SME in IBM Cloud.
• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage Cloud infrastructure to ensure security, performance, scalability and availability of production systems
• Evaluate new technology options and vendor products, present cost-benefit analysis to team
• Troubleshoot systems and problem-solve across platform and application domains
• Expertise in incident and problem management including timely problem identification, successful resolution, and root-cause analysis
• Design, build and evolve our production cloud infrastructure, employing automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC)
• Suggest architecture improvements and recommend process improvements
• Use your knowledge of IBM CLOUD to assist engineering in planning feature development

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 5+ years of IBM Cloud engineering, running large complex cloud solutions to multiple clients
• You operate as an excellent IBM Cloud Architect but also enjoy executing on your designs as a Principal level Engineer and cloud development platforms for IBM CLOUD.
• Experience with IBM CLOUD implementation and a working knowledge of their respective core products and experience with containerization and container management
• 5+ years of experience architecting and developing cloud Infrastructure and Platform and a solid understanding of SRE and DevOps principles and agile and scrum methodologies
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting net-new cloud infrastructure and expertise with VMware, Kubernetes, cloud migrations, advanced networking skills, F5 load balancing, scripting and automation proficiency (bash, python, PowerShell, etc.) and a good understanding of multi-tier architectures, load balancers, scale sets, and databases
