We are looking for a training developer to supervise and collaborate on all aspects of talent development through the design and development of ERP (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, etc.) and non-ERP training (tools, standards, templates, curricula) The training content developer is proficient in all aspects of training delivery, including support activities (Hypercare).

Main role and responsibilities:
  • Analyze customer training needs
  • Collect the documentation and information necessary to develop training materials
  • Develop a customized training material, understand business processes, general skills training materials, instructor/participant guides; workbooks, work aids, simulations.
  • Validate training materials with functional team leaders and client SMEs
  • Work with the functional team to determine exercise data requirements in the training environment
  • Support set-up of a training environment by identifying data requirements
  • Participate in training the Trainers
  • Identify updates of necessary training and support materials
  • Provide end-user training, if necessary
  • Support other training activities as required
  • Monitor completed and future training courses
  • Keep program leaders informed of progress or problems.

Must be located in Calgary or willing to relocate to Calgary.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Gather requirements and information from experts to design and develop training content
  • Plan, write and edit storyboards for e-learning modules (WBT, CBT, e-learning)
  • Identify anomalies and resolve them
  • Implement assessment measures, including knowledge audits, course evaluations and tests
  • Organize and lead training sessions
  • Participate in content review, revision and sign-off cycles
  • Build and maintain customer relationships by consistently delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience/interest in developing and delivering training materials
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, Excel


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years' experience in SAP training development (an asset)
  • Your ability to develop an engaging and effective training program
  • Experience with various SAP modules
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Your knowledge of instructional design theory and adult learning principles
