How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The primary objective of this position is to provide superior support to the outside sales force. This position will act as the liaison between the sales representatives and other internal departments, such as accounts receivable, customer service, operations, and branch associates. The main focus of the position will be to submit quotes, track orders and deliveries, enter and update contracted pricing, provide timely research/resolution to customer issues and requests for information.

The pay offered is from $23 - $26 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a high level of customer service by assisting sales force via telephone, email, fax, or in person.
  • Handle busy incoming telephone and email orders/inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Communicate daily with sales force personnel regarding quotes, order status, deliveries, back orders, and pending issues.
  • Complete customer follow-up on quotes, inquiries, order status (expedite orders), deliveries, and issues resolved.
  • Communicates daily with the sales force regarding quotes, order status, deliveries, back orders, and/or any pending order issues.
  • May be requested to participate in special projects relating to pricing, inventory, or sales to align the
    needs of the customer with the direction and policy of Airgas.
  • Participates in product knowledge and vendor training to present new products to customers to increase their awareness of our market segments.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Length and Type of Experience:

  • 3 years of related work experience in an administrative position supporting a sales staff
  • 5+ years of current telesales/customer service experience handling busy phones.
  • Knowledge of welding, industrial gases, and safety equipment applications desired.
  • Ability to write correspondence and routine reports.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • G-Suite (Google Applications) experience preferred
  • SAP knowledge desired

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; well organized; creative problem solving; strong service orientation; strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence, work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to excel in a deadline-oriented environment and demonstrate a high level of competence in organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
