General Information:

As a potential candidate for the role of Hitachi Energy Pre-sales Enterprise Software subject matter expert in the industrial landscape markets, you have the opportunity to play a crucial part in our business development strategies, engage in pre-sales activities, and provide functional and technical subject matter expertise. Your knowledge of the Informational Technology topology and understanding of the technical stack, cloud adoption, and perpetual to SaaS migration within the Software space is a plus. Understanding the entire trade life-cycle from the Front Office, Risk Management through the Back Office, and potentially supply chain/Financial models, along with other applications Hitachi Energy offers, is a skill you can develop further. You are also expected to demonstrate a high-level understanding of business processes and integration solutions within the industrial industries and leverage this knowledge and skills to prepare and present the solution demonstration. As part of the sales team, you will assist with creating, implementing, and monitoring sales support processes to drive sales revenue.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ensures support to the sales organizations during technical meetings, workshops, product presentations, and customer negotiations; provides technical support and clarification as needed. Serves as an SME for industrial industry market needs and application capabilities
  • Develop short‐ and long‐range strategies that optimize the customers’ needs through solutions to business objectives.
  • Coordinates with essential internal resources for customer sales engagements. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration
  • Manage the presales customer activities pursuits in collaboration with the sales team
  • Drives with Enterprise Software Product Group strategic approach and market message that provides value to the company’s customers and creates a competitive advantage
  • Develop on-prem to cloud adoption strategies through solution architecture IT strategies  
  • Assists in lead qualification and aids market development representatives (MDRs) to qualify prospects and leads, ideally providing information and instructing them to be self-sufficient
  • Takes ownership of demo systems for the North American hub to ensure the delivery of effective, high-quality, business-relevant solution demonstrations. Establishes a standard process to maintain the demo flow, scripts, and visualization regularly
  • Drives team to produce the most compelling and concise proposal response in RFx processes and supports bid/no bid analyses and decisions.

Your Background:

  • We are specifically looking for professionals with a minimum of 6+ years of experience in Technical Sales, Engineering, Solution Architecture, Systems Integration, or a related field.
  • A Bachelor's Degree is highly recommended, with a preference for emphasis in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, or Computer Science, reflecting our respect for your academic achievements.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Your strong understanding of cloud applications and architecture, particularly in the context of migrations from on-prem to SaaS, is of utmost importance and highly valued, especially in the heavy asset-type industries.
  • Technical understanding of the Informational Technology solution infrastructure and software topology. Possesses working knowledge of Enterprise applications within the Front Office and Risk Management through the Back Office.
  • Proficient in written and oral communication, adept at presenting intricate subjects to diverse audiences, whether technical or non-technical, both within and outside the organization.
  • Your experience includes creating and delivering compelling presentations on complex business and technical matters.
  • Coordinates with a focus on operational execution, taking on short/medium-term operational/tactical responsibilities and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Proven track record of fostering robust relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, highlighting solid interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel and may exceed 25% at times.
