About Salesforce

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good – you’ve come to the right place.

We are looking for a creative, collaborative, and well-rounded writer to build engaging and innovative content for the service and field service audience.

If you’re the right candidate, then writing is your passion. You love to write short and long-form assets, including blog posts, articles, video scripts, social media copy, newsletters, and much more. Your colleagues would describe you as resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and open to acting on constructive feedback. You probably have your company’s style guide memorized – and you have a sixth sense for when a piece of content isn’t striking the right tone. This team member will also forge relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build strategic content that suits the service audience’s needs!

Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit, and curate original material for the service personas in a way that is search optimized, relevant, and informative.
  • Edit existing content to improve SEO ranking, readability, and relevance.
  • Use content of all kinds – including influencer interviews, media bylines, blog posts, brand journalism, multimedia series, learning modules on Trailhead, and long-form instructional articles – to meet content marketing goals and objectives.
  • Interview Salesforce customers and internal experts to tell their outstanding, inspiring stories.
  • Uphold Salesforce voice and tone.
  • Collaborate with content strategists, editorial leads, product marketing, creative, campaigns, social media, customer marketing, influencers, and service leaders as key stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in content creation, journalism, or professional writing/editing at a tech company (or within a similar fast-paced industry).
  • Knowledge of how to write content that ranks well in organic search.
  • Creative and proactive problem solver who can not only identify gaps or opportunities, but also offers ways to address them. When you encounter obstacles, you find an effective solution with a positive approach.
  • Proven track record of optimizing content for organic traffic growth.
  • Excessively organized and prepared. Your calendar is your best friend, and while leading meetings with partners, you make sure their time is well spent.
  • Collaborative, you enjoy working with partners and customers, including executives and customers.
  • Social media skills are a plus.
  • Experience working with Kapost, Quip, AEM, and Wordpress is a plus.
  • This role is in office and based in the locations posted.
  • Please provide link to writing samples.
