What You Will Do:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Process Control Master Black Belt Lead to lead deployment and execution of the process control sub-discipline within key operational organizations.
The Process Control Master Black Belt Lead will dramatically improve the company’s quality and delivery signature using Statistical Process Control / Six Sigma methodologies. The Process Control Master Black Belt Lead will be responsible for assisting the organization in developing a vision, strategy, roadmap and supporting infrastructure for the integration of data driven decision making and Lean/Six-Sigma methods into daily business practices across operations, engineering, quality, program, and other business functions.
Develop the organization’s employees in Process Control proficiency by coaching, mentoring and coordinate execution of required training – Green Belts, Black Belts, Master Black Belts and Champions.
Support the project pipeline process to select, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities and CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) initiatives.
Schedule and facilitate periodic project reviews and ensure sign off on Formal Gate reviews. Use scorecards and metrics to ensure progress.
Ensure technical quality of Process Control projects. Identify gaps in project execution and engage appropriate resources to address either knowledge gaps or execution gaps to ensure projects deliver intended results.
Lead significant projects critical to the supporting organization, as needed; represent the organization in various forums related to Process Control approaches. Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices; coordinate development and publishing of Success Stories.
Communicate lessons learned to product development/engineering to enable implementation of design for variation (DFV) and robust design methods (DFSS).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related technical field and 12 or more years' of program/project management, operations management or quality experience in a manufacturing environment or a Master's degree and 10 or more years' of program/project management, operations management or quality experience in a manufacturing environment
A recognized Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification
Demonstrated ProCert/Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience
Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a large portfolio of cross functional projects
Knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Prior experience using Minitab and other statistical software; proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics
Qualifications We Prefer:
MBA/Master's degree
CORE Practitioner certification
Understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.
