Job Title: Accounting Close - Inter Unit Clearing - Senior Analyst

Corporate Title Senior Analyst

The Accounting Close team ensures all transactions are correctly accounted for and provides a golden source financial information data set upon which all internal and external reporting is based. You will be primarily responsible for timely and accurate delivery of all financial and/or regulatory reports including financial statements, additional disclosure and statistical requirements, inter-unit clearing and other reports in accordance with IFRS and HGB for submission and consolidation to Head Office in Germany; as well as in accordance with applicable GAAP for local regulatory reporting requirements of respective location of the assigned  Branch and/or Structured/Non-Structured entities. Our team of experts will be there to support your development to ensure you excel in this role.

The role will perform Intercompany data gathering, processing, analysis and reports preparation and presentation. This includes investigation and coordination of intercompany validation errors to the booking teams and Entity controllers across all regions to facilitate timely release of financials.

Your key responsibilities

• Showcase process ownership and expertise in monthly production activities such as BCS data quality management, reconciliation, investigation and coordination of inter-company breaks and reports preparation.
• Escalate and investigate production issues on a timely manner and propose action plans to mitigate/avoid from recurrence.
• Implement and participate in process improvement initiatives and global/regional projects.
• Attend post-month end discussion within the team and other relevant forums.
• Ensure completion of control documentation such as Key Control Points (KCPs), etc.
• Follow/complete all governance and compliance requirements such as SOP updates, compliance trainings, etc.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, or its Business-related equivalents with Accounting courses
• Experience in accounting, finance or audit gained from the Financial Services, Audit or BPO industry would be beneficial
• Combined analytical and problem solving skills
• A team player who is collaborative yet able to work independently
