Job Description:

The Goal

Within the Private Bank division, we are looking to reduce the risks and improve the compliance of our Data Management standards, overcoming the requirements of our worldwide regulators.

Your profile

You need to be an excellent communicator and feel comfortable interacting with stakeholders at various levels within the client organization in an empathic and considerate way. You must have proven experience on the Data Governance topics and you must be willing to work with challenging and demanding requirements for Switzerland and Luxembourg.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Design and implement effective Data Management policies and processes which support the data strategy whilst enabling risk reduction and compliance with Data related regulatory requirements, such as the FINMA Circular on Operational Risks and Resilience – Banks.
  • Ensure PB’s Data Management frameworks are operational and applied within the business division and/or infrastructure functions.
  • Regularly assess and refine data governance processes and policies in line with best practice to promote continuous improvement.
  • Identify and collaborate with subject matter experts across different departments to determine business processes and corresponding data flows, classes, applications, as well as controls on data quality.
  • Put procedures in place to capture and regularly update relevant information in the bank’s Data Governance tools.
  • Assess the current state of data quality within your scope of responsibility, quantify and articulate the business impact of data quality issues and identify and actively drive implementation of remediation plans.
  • Ensure adequacy of data sharing, access, retention and disposal for area of accountability, in accordance with defined processes.
  • Organize and prepare Data Councils, as required by local regulations, and coordinate with DB Group and Private Bank data governance teams.

  • Proven project and stakeholder management capabilities including project management approach to taking on tasks, completing them in a structured way
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with an ability to develop creative and structured solutions

Technically, we are looking for:

  • Experience in data governance and data management in a financial services environment
  • Proven understanding of process lifecycle flows in the Wealth Management business
  • Ability to investigate and present details of lineage, completeness, and transformations performed upon data via flows and processes
  • Experience with interpreting and implementing data related regulations such as BCBS 239, Swiss FINMA circular 2023/1
