The Merchant Solutions Technology group provides the Corporate Bank with a dedicated team that capitalizes on the rapidly evolving technology industry to provide our clients new products and innovation to meet their growing needs within an Agile FinTech-like setup. We deliver innovative products such as our Digital Payment Gateway (creating an API based solution allowing Marketplaces and Merchant to streamline their payment processing and settlement activities).

Role Description

• Responsible for functional and technical design, client integration.
• Liaise with the Product Owner, Architects, Product Managers, software engineers/developers and testers regarding the development and implementation of product lines using various technologies.
• Understanding the business processes and owning the creation and communication of artefacts enabling technological change.
• Recommend solutions and identify/resolve challenges within the Merchant Solutions Program.
• Build and maintain excellent relationship with the business stakeholders.
• Deliver high quality analysis and be passionate about the creation of strategic payments technology.

Your key responsibilities

• Partner with our lead Payments product specialists and various application delivery teams to help develop solutions that fully integrate with existing IT systems, to solve complex business problems.
• Leverage existing expertise and knowledge to validate solution definitions and specifications created by partners across the technology stack. Ensuring alignment with DB policies and group strategy.
• A core responsibility of BFA role will be to maintain a clear and robust requirements management process and all associated project deliveries.
• Lead workshops with business and technology stakeholders to review, develop, validate, and finalize requirements for the delivery of payment solutions across the business. Then ensure all agreed outputs and decisions are suitably well documented in the agreed tools throughout the requirements lifecycle, from initial capture through various stages of refinement, through to testing and implementation.
• Expertise, capability & experience role, with strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Possess both flow, product, and operational knowledge, experience working in agile teams and organizations.
• Person is responsible for definition of the end-to-end flow of products, will define/document requirements and user stories and resolve related problems/questions to enable development teams to deliver.
• Responsible to deliver use cases and produce detailed functional specifications for development teams to Code (using agile approach).
• Managing the product backlog (Capacity estimation and planning, L0 and L1 estimation of EPIC/Story level).
• Prioritizing needs together with the Product Owner to assure that the product backlog is consistent with the MVP and Product Vision (Clear categorization of an MVP and BoW definition/priority).
• Agree on acceptance criteria’s, test scenarios (end to end, conformance, penny tests) and conditions for signoff with clients and stakeholders.
• Help develop enterprise solutions that take into consideration operational costs, security, application development, production support considerations and client experience considerations.
• Support client integration and provide client support on various implementation queries.
• Contribute to the BA community with own experience and sharing of best practices and standards and mentor junior members.

Your Skills and experience

• A team player with excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
• 2+ Years of experience with exposure in Payment domain including understanding of products, business, and operational processes: High Value, Low value, Instant payment methods, along with SWIFT, MX, Local clearing format knowledge.
• Ability to be an ultimate owner for requirements for a given initiative, plus the associated requirements management processes. i.e., Ensuring clear requirements traceability through the standard requirements lifecycle phases of idea generation, requirement analysis, requirement refinement, cascade of project level requirements down to relevant delivery teams, etc.
• Expert level understanding of correspondent banking and domestic/cross border payment messaging (including but not limited to SWIFT MT/pacs/camt, SEPA, Faster Payments)
• Prior experience in Fintech Enablement (PSD2, Open Banking), Card Acquiring or Payment Processing area (SEPA, domestic (ACH) and international payments)
• Experience of Agile software delivery methodology and tools/skills like specification by example and writing acceptance criteria.
• Experience leading virtual teams with a need to influence and direct people without direct line management responsibility.
• Experience organizing and leading workshops focused on requirements gathering, analysis and refinement.
• Prior experience in drawing Workflow/State Transition/Activity diagrams and data modelling
• Desirable to have knowledge of ISO standard 20022, REST API, XML, SQL, JSON and PUML
• Desirable to have knowledge of creating swagger specifications (YAML) and describing API. 
• Willing to learn and navigate through different applications, technologies, and business flows based on analysis and requirement needs.
• Prior experience in using Confluence and Jira is plus.
