CAD Operator - New Tazewell, TN

This is an entry level drafting position responsible for producing drawing files for production and submitting plans by following the serialized orders, state codes and company standards.  Ability to work with the production line personnel to perform root cause analysis on print discrepancies.  Attention to detail and the ability to take good written notes is a must.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create prints using AutoCad drawing software for layout diagrams, schematics and construction documents
• Prepare and maintain plans for new structures and processes
• Communicate and collaborate with production team regarding print related items
• Communicate and collaborate with sales regarding orders

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Very high attention to detail
• Understanding of general construction standards and familiarity with related codes
• Ability to check over work to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of prints
• Ability to learn and perform standard computer techniques, CAD schematic design and related functions in accordance with firm drafting and quality standards
• Ability to work closely within a team environment

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED.  Drafting degree or equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with and general knowledge of constructions standards
