Job Description:

  • Permanent, part time, (15.2 hours per week) OR
  • Fixed Term, part time, (22.8 - 30.4 hours per week) until 31 December 2025

About the Role

The Occupational Therapy Educator Mental Health & Wellbeing is a role that has been established as part of a grant from the Victorian Department of Health following recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System. The role has been funded by the Victorian Department of Health to support the implementation of the Statewide Early Careers Initiative.

The Occupational Therapy Educator is responsible for the support, professional supervision and management of Occupational Therapy graduates and novice learners in the Mental Health & Wellbeing and Addiction Medicine Program.

The role will also contribute to the delivery of education and support more broadly across the organisation within a multidisciplinary and interprofessional environment.

  • Provide strong and effective leadership in the area of Allied Health Clinical Education
  • Implement and maintain the Allied Health Mental Health Graduate Program in line with the Department of Health Model requirements and recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with the Occupational Therapy Discipline lead to further develop Allied Health/Occupational Therapy Clinical Education
  • Promote a culture of reflection, continuous learning, and workforce development.


The classification for this position will be YB28 ($125,866 per annum pro rata)


Your Contribution

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or Master of Occupational Therapy (Prac)
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum of ten (10) years post-graduate experience and a strong interest in mental health and wellbeing
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain
