JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Project Manager to provide reliable, timely, and professional support to the Retail Team in delivery of construction projects in support of the strategic commercial real estate objectives of a client with a national portfolio of retail and office sites. Primary responsibilities involve day to day construction project management activities including planning, oversight, reporting, and delivery of renovation, new build, relocation, and decommissioning projects within the triple constraints of scope, schedule, and budget. The position entails working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and the successful candidate will require the independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

  • Support project executives on large complex projects and assignments.
  • Ensuring projects are completed within scope, schedule, budget, and meeting client expectations.
  • Proactively manage project-related issues on account
  • Develop scope, budget, and schedule for multiple projects.
  • Proactively foreseeing and documenting project risks and risk mitigation plans.
  • Proactively communicating with your client; maintaining project status and tracking reports.
  • Conduct and document all weekly meetings.
  • Coordinate activities of sub-contractors and relocation of technical functions
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Prepare/update project status reports, process purchase orders and invoices, update tracking reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of all PDS technology as required for assigned projects.
  • Ensure accurate management of all accounts receivables to maintain a level not to exceed planned working capital charge as set by corporate finance, account finance team and/or the Regional Operations Manager.
  • Coordinate and track all Vendor RFP’s.  Maintain accurate and consistent electronic files and documentation in compliance with internal governance and client audit requirements.
  • Comply with all Jones Lang LaSalle policies and procedures, including but not limited to ethics and business practice.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

  

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Familiarity with architectural drawings and furniture and space planning concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project, SharePoint document management, JD Edwards
  • Post-secondary education in Architecture, Engineering, or Project Management
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience, or combination of relevant work experience and education
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to understand all aspects of construction projects effectively and efficiently including, but not limited to Budgeting, and Scheduling in order to fully understand project implications based on minimal conceptual information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to provide excellent service to executive-level external and internal client stakeholders.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to consistently and successfully manage to several key-point metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in preparation and tracking of project budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to impact and influence to achieve desired project outcomes.
  • Values knowledge-sharing and teamwork, including mentorship of junior colleagues and demonstrates a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility with travel as needed.
  • Ability to proactively identify, mitigate, and track project risks.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • PMP, accreditation is an asset.
  • Position may work primarily at home with project site visits as required.
  • Face to face and/or remote daily interpersonal interaction is usually required in order to perform the job.
  • Travel as needed and may range from 0-4 nights per month.
