Position: Fire Safety and EHS Manager, Mumbai
Business: Property and Asset Management, Mumbai

What this job involves
You will be in charge of the fire safety and EHS aspects of your designated site. Your role will be to prevent safety lapses and be the first responder to emergency and non-emergency situations. Safety planning, risk assessment & formulating effective guarding strategies are some of your key responsibility areas. Your role will incorporate managing the following:

•    Involvement in Stakeholder consultation, Communication, and participation

        Scope and context of occupational health and safety management system

         Arrange Induction program for new joining employee.

          Monitoring and maintaining Occupational health and safety objectives & program at site.

           Identification of hazards, opportunities and assessment of risks.
     
          Prepare and maintaining Safe operating procedures (safe systems of work) 

         Management and control of manual handling, workstation ergonomics (including DSE), 

         occupational road risk, work at height, lifting operations, pressure systems, hazardous substances, confined space working, electrical hazards, personal protective equipment, psychosocial hazards.

Monitoring and inspection of Permit to work and safe isolation systems.

Evaluating, engaging & managing contractors / vendors for EHS & Fire services.

Fire safety management (protective and preventative controls)

Accident/incident, near miss reporting, investigation and CAPA monitoring.

Ill-health monitoring (including absenteeism and presentism)

Non-conformance monitoring

Monitoring of competence and capability, including behaviors

Monitoring of organizational health and safety culture

Medical First Aider

Liaising with local statutory bodies to ensure the site compliance.

Involvement in On Site Emergency Plan and Business continuity Plan.

Monitoring of OHS & Wellbeing Objective.

Trainings and awareness to all department staff.

Report Quality & environmental ,wellbeing issues to the Management."

Participant out all ENMS related training as per the policy.

Being Analytical and Meticulous 

You will be building, maintaining, supporting and validating performance of subordinate security staff. You must pay attention to detail and possess the ability to use logical thought processes to develop solutions for short term and long-term Security needs; Demonstrate integrity in the performance of assigned tasks. Participate in BSE Audit, Marsh Audit, HSE Audit and ensure all statutory compliances related to fire safety, are followed and records are kept at site.

Qualifications
You are qualified degree (BE-Tech- mechanical or Diploma in Fire Safety) holder with 7-8 years building fire safety and EHS experience. Relevant experience in required property type (residential / commercial) will be preferred. Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing. Ability to prepare the PPT report, conduct of Fire Mock drill for the building occupants and ensuring that all fire extinguishers are charged as per fire norms.
