About Us:

Our Projects and Development Services (PDS) team provide corporate and institutional clients with the management of design, construction and relocation services to minimise risk and eliminate unnecessary cost.

Projects range from greenfield developments to major fit-outs and refurbishments, from single one-off projects to state, national multi-site and regional roll-out projects requiring consistent nationwide delivery. 

As one of the largest project management firms in Australia with a team of over 320 professional staff, we operate in sectors including commercial, industrial, education, data centres, hotels, retail and defence. 

About the role:

As the Site Supervisor you are expected to take total responsibility for the effective management of all site based activities throughout the construction and defects phases of a project (or projects) including the management of Safety, Environmental, Programme, Quality, Materials Handling and Overall Site Coordination Activities.  The role requires coordinating thought and leadership skills to encourage maximum contributions of all participants in the project and focus these to maximise outcomes for all stakeholders.

Note this is a 1 year Fixed Term Contract

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage site safety in accordance with JLL’s certified safety system and legislative requirements.
  • Manage site environmental matters in accordance with JLL’s certified environmental management system and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure programmed dates for all construction and defect rectification activities are achieved.
  • Manage the quality of the final product produced by trade contractors.
  • Manage the coordination of all site activities including materials handling, trade contractors and suppliers.
  • Manage Industrial Relations on site and engage with Unions and Union representatives in a professional manner.
  • Assist project team in analysing buildability issues in respect to design development.
  • Participate in the establishment a detailed overall project programme that sets clear milestones and objectives to ensure successful project delivery.

About you: 

You’ll have a Trade qualification in building related discipline and proven experience in a related field.

You can confidently manage project construction & defect close out activities and understand the legal environment for each project in respect of planning, commercial aspects and delivery constraints.

You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Project systems and have a thorough knowledge of our obligations for complying with ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001 and Environmental Health and Safety legislation generally.

It is expected you can critically review project drawings for buildability of the documented design, have a detailed understanding of Industrial Relations obligations and rights as they relate to construction sites as well as the ability to coordinate and manage a site workforce in excess of 100 workers.
