Salesforce - Procurement team is looking to hire a Procurement Analyst for procurement contract management. This position will manage the requisition of Salesforce In-direct sourcing commodities, such as HR, Corporate Professional Services, Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS), Marketing, and Meetings & Events (excluding IT and Tech-sourcing) and oversee the Purchasing Requisitions operation team. This position will report to the Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager based in Tokyo, Japan.

Key Performance Objectives:

  • Contract Management

  • Contractor (Temporary Staff) Management

  • Reviewing and approving/rejecting Purchasing Requisitions (PR) according to internal policies and requisites.

  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers and managing them properly in line with internal policies and tools.

  • Designing and enhancing the local purchasing process in alignment with the global process while ensuring the accuracy of its work.

  • Overseeing and identifying key metrics and analytics to provide input to current processes and improve efficiency.

  • Establishing and expanding relationships with Salesforce stakeholders, and collaborating with Legal, Ethics & Compliance, Accounting, Finance & Strategy, AP, Risk management as necessary.

This position may include the following responsibilities based on future needs

  • Supporting the development and execution of sourcing strategies related to the category spend areas, including analyzing spending data, market research, formulate strategies to optimize and rationalize spending, recommending and running RFx, and negotiating contract terms with suppliers.

  • Executing Category Strategy which includes spending/ metrics data, industry benchmarks and future budgets to provide recommendations to the business on savings ideas, supplier rationalization and operational improvement for the category.

  • Influencing strategies and decisions and leading complex, highly visible, negotiations with strategic and key suppliers, including the establishment of service levels, key performance indicators, price and term negotiations in order to mitigate risk and increase savings.

  • Managing all engagements and relationships with major suppliers, and driving quarterly business reviews with key suppliers, in collaboration with key business partners and ensuring their service levels.

  • Navigating and processing complex spreadsheets or datasets, and being able to provide insights and recommendations based on data analytics.

  • Driving the process improvement projects around procurement operations.

Position Requirements:

  • More than three years experience in operation management/analysis

  • Possess a high level of awareness and consciousness regarding compliance.

  • Strong command of writing and speaking in Japanese and English.

  • Collaborative and influencing style when working with a team.

  • Effective communication and engagement with internal / external stakeholders including suppliers.

  • Analytical skills managing and discerning data, making presentations & formulating strategies.

  • Work well under pressure, ability to multitask and a skilled time manager that is comfortable working under minimal supervision.

  • A self-starter with a growth and Kaizen mindset.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Sourcing/Procurement experience is desired but not required.

  • Knowledge of salesforce is desired but not required.

  • Experience in people management/ team management/ outsourcing management is advantageous.

  • Experience in building category strategies, sourcing pipelines, and saving methodology is advantageous.

  • Experience in managing an indirect purchasing category, reviewing Purchase Requisitions, analyzing spending, drafting and negotiating contract terms.
