We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee a large team of experienced Manufacturing Operations professionals and production team leaders. In this role, you will establish long-term objectives and guidelines for managing and monitoring cell performance and productivity. You will direct the scheduling and sequencing of work, driving production innovation to optimize efficiency. Additionally, you will plan, design, and execute activities directly related to the physical creation of RTX products and the functional operation of RTX facilities, encompassing both professional and para-professional disciplines. What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for OEM customers, ensuring clear communication and understanding of customer needs and expectations.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key OEM accounts to foster trust and partnership.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process to ensure it meets the specifications and quality standards required by OEM customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve any production issues that may impact delivery schedules or product quality.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer-specific quality expectations.
  • Implement and monitor quality control systems to ensure product consistency and reliability.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at improving manufacturing efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
  • Utilize customer feedback to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate production schedules with OEM customers to meet delivery timelines and manage inventory levels effectively.
  • Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to OEM customers, addressing any product-related concerns or issues promptly.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts and implement solutions to resolve manufacturing and product performance problems.
  • Prepare regular reports on manufacturing performance, customer satisfaction, and project status for senior management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, customer interactions, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and product development teams to align manufacturing capabilities with OEM customer requirements.
  • Participate in joint projects and initiatives with OEM customers to develop new products or enhance existing ones.
  • Provide training and mentorship to manufacturing staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet OEM customer expectations.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the manufacturing team.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning process by providing insights on manufacturing capabilities, market trends, and customer demands.
  • Align manufacturing goals with the overall business strategy to support growth and profitability objectives.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in a manufacturing/ aerospace environment
  • Experience executing LEAN SIGMA practices
  • SAP experience
  • Black belt certification or training
  • Preferred degree/ experience in operations management or engineering background.
