Raytheon’s Field Engineering is currently seeking a Field Test Engineer for the Multi-Function RF System (MFRFS) program. In this role you will be responsible for supporting operation and maintenance activities of RF sensor system and Coyote UAS weapon platform.  You will communicate regularly with fellow Test Field Engineers and Field Engineering Lead to ensure solidarity within the Testing team.

This position is based in El Paso, TX (Ft Bliss), McKinney, TX, or Tucson, AZ and reports to leadership based in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do

  • Perform radar or coyote assembly, overhaul, repair, modification, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Extensive travel will be expected, approximately 75%.
  • Frequent participation in offsite customer locations is required. 
  • Travel expectations may occur with little to no notice, maximum flexibility required. 
  • Expected travel locations but not limited to: Yuma Proving Grounds, AZ, Huntsville, AL, St Louis MO, El Paso, TX, China Lake, NV, Whites Sands Missile Range, NM, Ft Drum, NY, Ft Greely, AK, McKinney, TX, Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Learn

  • Assisting in planning, perform data analysis, and support system integration and testing. 
  • Receiving technical guidance and tasking, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience in the repair of military sensor or radar systems.
  • Experience in the repair of military UAS systems.
  • Experience in the military working with Depot Support maintenance experience on electronics or radar.
  • Experience with the tools and test equipment commonly used in electronic installation, maintenance, and test.
  • Experience with Coyote/Ku Radar/M-LIDS documented training.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Understanding of CUAS system operations and maintenance.
  • Graduate of US military sensor or radar technical school.
  • Experience with military generators.
  • Experience with tactical HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of military protocol.
  • Past military experience highly desirable.
  • COLTS Logistics Database Certification.
  • Must be a self-starter and the ability to align priorities appropriately and work.
  • Must possess excellent technical writing, oral communication, and negotiation skills.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
