Financial Analyst - Grand Rapids, MI

Job Summary

Collects and analyzes sponsored programs financial and utilization information to support the research and general accounting departments.

Essential Functions

• Performs statistical, cost, and financial variance analysis of data to evaluate financial performance of sponsored programs and identify improvement opportunities.
• Assists on business issues including financial and profitability analysis.  Develops solutions to problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovation.
• Collaborates with assigned areas of the Corewell Health Research Institute, foundation, and healthier communities with senior level analysts and leadership to analyze financial data.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Accounting, finance, business administration, economics, statistics or related field

• 1 year of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or related work

Preferred

• Master's Degree Business or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - State of Michigan
