Job Description:

Position Title: Clinical Psychologist
Employment Type: Permanent Part Time
Hours per week: 24 hours
Position Grade: Clinical Psychologist (Year 2-5)

Salary: $111,323.00 - $128,653.00 (pro-rata) base salary per annum
Enterprise Agreement:The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Professional & Associated Staff Agreement 2022

About the role:

Applications are invited for a Clinical Psychologist with interest and experience in working with older people with mental health problems and mental illness. The position will involve working within a community-focussed, multidisciplinary team, providing comprehensive psychogeriatric assessment and management, including CBT interventions and mental health assessment.

The Specialist Mental Health Service for Older People encompasses GP shared care, consultation and liaison with aged care and mental health services, family and carer support and education, professional advice to other community clinicians, and short-term individual case management to a limited number of older people with mental health problems and mental illness.

Selection Criteria:
1. Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia
2. Full Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
3. APAC accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology

4. Full endorsement with the Psychology Board of Australia in the area of Clinical Psychology or eligible to progress to same with the Psychology Board of Australia.

5. Knowledge and experience in a range of evidence-based psychological interventions with specific demonstrated expertise in delivery or development of evidence-based treatments relevant in the areas of older people’s mental health

6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently

7. Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice

8. Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
