Job Description:

The role:

Applications are now open for newly qualified Enrolled Nurses to join the St. Vincent's Private Hospital Sydney, 2025, Graduate Nursing Program. The program commences 3rd February 2025.

The St. Vincent’s Private Hospital Sydney (SVPHS) Graduate Nursing Program offers clinical streams in:

  • Medical/Surgical Wards
  • Peri-operative (12 month dedicated stream, or available as a second rotation following a med/surg ward placement)
  • Mental Health (available as a 6 month rotation with a med/surg rotation)

You must have completed a Diploma of Nursing within the last 12 months or are due to complete and gain AHPRA enrolment to commence the program on 3rd February 2025.

Your application will require you to include your CV and cover letter. For your application to be considered, please follow the below details for inclusion to your CV and cover letter.

Within your CV you need to provide a minimum of 2 referees (we recommend 3). Guidelines for referee details are:

  • One referee must be a clinical facilitator OR your current manager from a healthcare related role (e.g. AIN)
  • The second referee can be another clinical facilitator, a preceptor you have worked alongside within a clinical setting (greater than 3 shifts), or a workplace manager (does not have to be healthcare related) who had a direct supervisory role within the past two years
  • Referee details must include name, title, phone contact and email address (professional email addresses are preferred)

Your cover letter, should be no longer than 1 page in length and you must address the following questions:

1. Have you completed a Diploma of Nursing within the last 12 months or are due to complete and gain AHPRA registration/enrolment to commence the program for the 3rd February 2025? Yes / No

2. Your preferred clinical stream? (if you have no specific preference, please state no preference)

3. Why did you select Nursing as your chosen career? 100 words or less

4. Why would you like to join the SVPHS Graduate Nursing Program? 100 words or less

Remuneration:

The Enterprise Agreement at SVPHS positions our nurses as some of the higher paid nurses in Australia: 

  • EN Year 1 Classification/Grade: $36.69 per hour (exclusive of shift penalties or other allowances)
