Technical/Functional Skills

Platform Engineer/Architecture for Data Platforms either Cloud-based or On-Prem (Databricks, Snowflake, Superset, etc.).Python or scripting language

Experience Required

•             14+ years' experience with designing, building, implementing, and supporting data warehouse, business intelligence, and data analytic platforms or solutions.

•             Technical expertise in all aspects of Data platforms/products such as Snowflake, Databricks, Superset, Kubernetes, etc.

•             Platform Administration experience involving configuration, data migration and security implementation.

•       &n bsp;     Hands-on experience in administering Snowflake in AWS

•             Expertise in Big Data Platform Architecture and Enterprise data capabilities

•             Experience with Cloud platform technologies and Networking (e.g. AWS, Snowflake)

•             Experience with architecting and maintaining high availability production systems.

Roles & Responsibilities

•                Work as platform admin on Snowflake or Databricks on AWS i.e., Configuration, Data migration and security

•                Assess platform landscape options and propose technology solutions

•                Assess and work on a diverse set of data-oriented platforms, technologies, and their seamless integrations (Security, SAML, SSO/OAuth, Kerberos, Policies, BI/Reporting, etc.)

•                Conduct architecture review & audit for a complex, multi-technology solution landscape

•                Conceptualize, define, document and review solution architecture for a data/technology platform

•                Design and present best-fit solution proposition to the customer convincingly, in terms of architecture & vision to address complex business problems

•                Perform solution integration and solution landscape prototyping, troubleshooting & optimization

•                Establish and execute the platform evolution/customization roadmap to align with customer's goals and vision

•                Design, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects in supporting the Cloud data platforms,  including cost monitoring and optimizations, user security auditing

•                Implement/support automation for production deployment in Data Platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Superset, etc.)

•                Implement Data Platform standards and methodologies for DB security – both infrastructure and app level

•                Implement/support automation for administering platforms - Accounts/Databases and access roles

•                Lead, guide and closely work with the data architects in the team
