Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation, Amazon Sidewalk - Taipei

Job Description

Amazon Sidewalk is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to help the organization to deliver high quality services and features. You will work closely with global teams to plan and coordinate the execution of quality assurance assignments with strong emphasis on automation. Your obsession with the quality improvement across the whole development cycle is the very key to your success in this position.

Key job responsibilities
- Champion the quality of Sidewalk features using both automated and manual tests
- Design, create, update and execute test plans with well-defined test cases
- Design, enhance and maintain test automation framework
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA to influence the final delivery
- Report, track and verify defects to their resolution to sign off on features and releases
- Make a significant impact to process and automation infrastructure to improve the efficiency and efficacy in quality delivery of Sidewalk services, business, and most importantly to our customers.

Amazon Sidewalk is a shared network that helps devices like Amazon Echo devices, Ring Security Cams, outdoor lights, motion sensors, and trackers work better at home and beyond the front door. When enabled, Sidewalk can unlock unique benefits for your device, support other Sidewalk devices in your community, and even locate lost items.

Basic Qualifications:

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development testing experience
- Experience on developing test automation framework in Python or Linux shell scripting languages.
- Knowledge of test methodologies to create, execute and maintain test cases.
- Knowledge of trouble shooting skills to perform defect triage and root cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience on testing of embedded device, cloud services, mobile app or SDK.
- Experience with network communication protocol testing and automation.
- Knowledge of computer architecture or consumer electronics fundamentals.
- Desire to learn and take challenge.
- Experience in global collaboration.
