We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Facilities Manager (m/f/d) to join the Integrated Facilities Management business line in Berlin, Düsseldorf or Munich.

In this role, you will oversee operations across multiple sites in Germany, leveraging your exceptional stakeholder management abilities and proven team leadership skills. This position requires extensive travel and offers the exciting opportunity to manage diverse facilities, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

Our customer account has recently undergone significant expansion, and we are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic about driving continuous improvement and optimizing our target operating model in the market.

Senior Facilities Manager(m/w/d)

Your tasks:

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all facilities, including office buildings, manufacturing sites, and other properties
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of facilities managers and support staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies
  • Develop and manage budgets for facilities operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of service
  • Ensure all facilities comply with local regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies
  • Oversee large-scale projects, such as renovations, relocations, and new construction, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
  • Implement and promote sustainability initiatives to reduce the environmental impact of facilities operations
  • Drive positive change and continual improvement to the target operating model in the market, leveraging the recent expansion of the customer account
  • Travel extensively to various sites across Germany to oversee operations, conduct inspections, and meet with stakeholders

Your profile:

  • A degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., IFMA, BIFM) are a plus
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facilities management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
  • Proven project management abilities, with experience in managing large-scale facilities projects
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management
  • In-depth knowledge of facilities management best practices and relevant regulations in Germany
  • Proficiency in using facilities management software and other relevant IT tools
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Germany and occasionally internationally as needed
