Associate Analyst, Analyst, and Senior Analysts Falcon Complete

About the Role

CrowdStrike is looking for highly motivated, self-driven, Cyber Security Analysts dedicated to making a difference in global security by protecting organizations against the most advanced attackers in the world. Our CrowdStrike virtual security operations center offers opportunities to expand your skill set through a wide variety of experiences, detecting and responding to incidents as they occur in real-time for our customers. 

We are looking for candidates at all levels for the Falcon Complete roles. Associate Analyst Responsibilities:

• Perform initial triage and analysis of security alerts and respond to customer requests and queries.
• Manage the Falcon platform and perform administrative tasks such as configuration changes and tuning.
• Assist incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
• Perform basic malware analysis.
• Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management.

Analyst and Senior Analyst Responsibilities:

• Exercise incident handling processes across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
• Perform basic malware analysis.
• Develop and improve processes for incident detection and the execution of countermeasures
• Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management.

In addition, Senior Analysts are expected to:

• Demonstrate industry thought leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other public speaking events.
• Manage internal programs or teams.
• Mentor and support the development of more junior analysts

Successful candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Associate

• Incident Handling: Familiar with incident response concepts, investigating targeted threats such as the Advanced Persistent Threat, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists.
• Computer Forensic Analysis: Basic understanding of forensic best practices.
• Systems Administration: Familiar with basic concepts of System administration.
• Malware Analysis: Familiar with the concept of static malware analysis.
• Incident Remediation: Basic understanding of targeted attacks and remediation / mitigation solutions.
• Programming/Scripting: Experience in coding.
• Emerging and Innovative Technologies: understanding of applications and uses of Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning in the cyber security domain.
• Prior experience with CrowdStrike Falcon is a plus

Analyst and Senior Analyst

• Working in a SOC, Malware Analysis or IR environment
• Incident Handling: experience conducting or managing incident response for organizations, investigating targeted threats such as the Advanced Persistent Threat, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists.
• Computer Forensic Analysis: a background using a variety of forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations to determine the extent and scope of compromise.
• Systems Administration: an understanding of system internals is required to understand how to implement and execute countermeasures and remediation.
• Network Forensic Analysis: knowledge of network protocols, network analysis tools, and ability to perform analysis of associated network logs.
• Malware Analysis: ability to perform static and dynamic malware analysis to understand the nature of malware
• Incident Remediation: strong understanding of targeted attacks and able to create customized tactical and strategic remediation plans for compromised organizations.
• Network Operations and Architecture/Engineering: strong understanding of secure network architecture and strong background in performing network operations.
• Programming/Scripting: experience coding in C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET.
• Emerging and Innovative Technologies: understanding of applications and uses of Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning in the cyber security domain.
• Prior experience with CrowdStrike Falcon is a plus

Additionally, all candidates must possess the following attributes:

• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to handle high pressure situations in a productive and professional manner
• Capable of completing technical tasks without supervision.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Experience with Mac OS, Windows, and Unix operating systems
• A passion for all things Cyber Security
• Ability to foster a positive work environment and attitude.
• Strong verbal and communication skills with the ability to explain difficult technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical ability (candidates with Japanese written and verbal skills are highly encouraged to apply)

• Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Maths, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related areas of study; or equivalent work experience.

Senior Analysts are also expected to have:

• Strong project management skills
• Experience in training and mentoring junior analysts
• Contributing thought leader within the cyber security industry

We stop breaches 24/7 - but that doesn’t mean you have to work through the night

Falcon Complete prides itself on work-life balance, and we do that through a follow-the-sun model with teams in the US, APJ, and UK. So, whilst our customers are protected around the clock, our analysts aren’t pulling all-night shifts. Our main shifts in APJ are Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday, Wednesday to Saturday, and Sunday to Wednesday for a 38-hour work week. The shifts incorporating weekend days are 4-day work weeks with slightly longer work days compared to the 5-day work week shift. Once you’re on a shift, we try to keep you there - but changes of an allocated shift can be considered depending on operational requirements.
