The Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage and develop day-to-day client relationships and oversee a team of assignment management case advisors on an operational level.

The Assignment Services practice within People Advisory Services at EY provides comprehensive services to a diverse range of multinational clients in the UK, EMEIA, and globally. Our service offering consists of two key pillars:

 

• Mobility Transformation: Consulting with clients to enhance their global mobility function and implementing these improvements through projects and secondments, driven by our world-class expertise.
• Mobility Talent Operate: Operating the mobility function on behalf of clients, either partially or fully, managing end-to-end assignment administration and policy development. This includes creating cost estimates, balance sheet calculations, payroll instructions, and assignment letters, acting as the principal point of contact for clients' assignees and their HR contacts during their relocation and ongoing assignments, and coordinating and managing all third-party providers. Our service covers all mobility policies: permanent, long-term, short-term, commuter, and similar variations.

EY’s integrated mobility offering encompasses expatriate tax and social security compliance and consulting, immigration, and assignment services, making us the only firm with a fully integrated Mobility team.

 

About You:

• Experienced expatriate tax practitioner.
• Strong technical skills and a desire to develop further.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strategic and commercial awareness of broader business issues.
• Enthusiastic and flexible attitude to work.
• Strong team player with the ability to integrate with new teams quickly.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Project management skills, including planning and prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, and budget monitoring.
• ATT/ACA/CA/ACCA/CTA/Law qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in Mobility or Mobility compliance dealing with tax compliance issues and tax advisory projects.
• Ability to identify areas of risk, conduct effective reviews, and escalate when necessary.
• Client-focused and commercially aware.
• Strong relationship management skills and the ability to manage client expectations.
• Creative and pragmatic problem-solving abilities.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of clients with inbound expatriates to the UK and UK outbounds.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, providing consistently high levels of client service.
• Manage the successful delivery of mobility tax projects, ensuring technical excellence.
• Oversee day-to-day delivery of client services, both compliance and advisory.
• Build relationships within the firm, across service lines, and with our overseas colleagues to identify mobility opportunities.
• Proactively seek new tax projects from existing clients and drive new work from target organizations.
• Contribute to maximizing value for both EY and clients while managing risk appropriately.
• Develop and counsel junior team members, making key decisions that affect the team.
• Shape the future of the practice by expanding the breadth and depth of services offered to clients through advancements in technology and regulatory developments.
