The opportunity

The purpose of the global EY organization is to Build a better working world. The insights and services the organization provides help to drive long-term value for clients, people and society and to build trust in the capital markets. An essential function under EY Business Enablement, Supply Chain Services (SCS) is a global team with more than 600 professionals in over 35 countries supporting the EY organization across the globe. This structure helps enable knowledge-sharing across categories and regions, streamlining efforts in seeking innovative suppliers that can provide exceptional client service to maximize SCS’s value for the EY organization and the world's supply chain.

 

A key component of SCS is the categories that sit within, specifically, Global Procurement, whose purpose is to drive significant synergies and value creation from sourcing to contract lifecycle across Technology, Talent, Alliances and Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) spend categories. Travel Meetings & Events (TME), whose global reach drives and supports EY travelers make the best possible decisions and find the most effective travel and accommodation solutions; whilst also supporting the delivery of international meetings and events. Source to Settle (S2SE), brings together those responsible for key supplier lifecycle activities from purchase requisitions to accounts payable processing in order to build optimal solutions and drive financial success. Real Estate Services (RES) who maximizes our global building and office portfolio to ensure the most efficient and inspiring places to work and Environmental Social & Governance (ESG who drive an inclusive and sustainable mindset across the organization and are committed to maintaining a diverse supplier base and building relationships with suppliers that reflect the market, clients and communities we serve.

 

As an Analytics & Reporting Category Lead, you will have the opportunity to transform incumbent reporting areas within a specific category of SCS (as detailed above) helping to build, transform and manage a critical sector and drive world class, consolidated, valued, proactive Analytics & Reporting.  You will have the opportunity to ensure that mandatory, meaningful, consistent and insightful reports are produced and distributed to effectively manage your category, whilst maximizing delivery to our SCS stakeholders driving toward a true value add group.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted business advisor to your category, engaging with stakeholders, both internal and external aligning requirements with the business pipeline and providing exceptional customer service while delivering value
  • Work closely with the Analytics & Reporting Leader to help develop an overarching category strategy which support the overall SCS framework
  • Support improvement in processes, policy, systems, management information and reporting
  • Develop relationships with key EY business stakeholders and report category insights and progress via regular meetings where appropriate
  • Have a solid knowledge of key anaytical / reporting suppliers and their position in the market, in addition to working through current market intelligence resources and partners to perform the latest research to drive continual improvement and ensure world class delivery
  • Lead a team of reporting analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong business acumen and commercial skills to drive the Analytics and Reporting function and strategy across a broad array of all Supply Chain Services portfolios / categories
  • Strong negotiator and influencer capable of driving alignment with key senior stakeholders and leaders
  • Extensive knowledge of the Analytical and Reporting landscape and key suppliers, with deep understanding of relevant offerings to drive forward automated insights and actions
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders
  • The ability to analyze complex data sets to extract insights, trends, and patterns that can guide strategic decision-making
  • The ability to drive change by building strong, trusting relationships with stakeholders and business partners
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to independently manage and prioritize workload
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and have an appetite for change that delivers maximum benefit
  • Demonstrable people management skills

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Experience of managing and leading a diverse, knowledgeable team that are experts in there given fields
  • Strong understanding of data collection, data processing, and data management principles. The ability to interpret charts, reports, and visualizations is also a fundamental skill on a large scale
  • Proven experience in leading a team and the ability to provide guidance, support, and mentorship to reporting analysts
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, business-oriented language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to tackle complex data challenges and improve reporting processes.

 

Ideally, you will also have

  • Business Degree [or relevant preferred degree for role] [or relevant demonstrable working experience applicable to the role]
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience including experience with analytical and reporting activities within a global organization/s
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills in business English
  • Experience with a global, culturally diverse organization
  • Experience working collaboratively, virtually and independently
