International Tax Director - Cork

 

EY, Munster’s largest tax practice is currently seeking to recruit a Tax Director to join their growing tax team of 40+. This is a great opportunity for a strong tax professional to further develop their technical skills, expand their experience and grow both personally and professionally.

 

The Director will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of international and / or domestic corporate tax clients. They will gain broad consulting experience in a supportive and dynamic environment and be involved in the development of the wider tax team in Cork as well as leading business development initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

 

• Responsibility for a broad portfolio of international and / or large Irish domestic clients

• Provision of tax consulting advice to some of the world’s largest multi-national groups

• Advising clients on large and complex cross border transactions including mergers, acquisitions, group restructurings, IP alignment planning, transfer pricing etc

• Assisting clients in developing international tax strategies and keeping up to date on tax developments

• Working closely with Partners and other team members in providing advice to clients on a wide range of international tax advisory projects

• Project management of Irish and cross border planning projects

• Researching and reviewing tax technical memorandum and reports

• Liaising with Irish Revenue and foreign tax authorities on behalf of clients.

• Opportunities to work with other service lines including across assurance, strategy, consulting, and transactions.

• Supervising and mentoring a large team across numerous levels

 

About the person:

 

A qualified tax consultant, with good corporate tax experience and ideally some international tax experience. The person should be comfortable dealing with clients and building relationships. They will be a good communicator, self-motivated and capable of leading a team.
