SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Occasional travel within UK / and international

Our Team at Brize Norton are on the UK Government’s critical personnel key worker list for ‘public safety and national security' as the service that we provide is critical to the delivery of key defence outputs.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM

  • Acting as the Expert Focal Point for all the MDS issues, ensuring that the customer understand the system and promoting new functionalities

  • Providing support in the safety investigations

  • Ensuring that all personnel have received the on the Job Training (OJT) and the SQEP in aligned with the activities the user has to carry out as well as with the MDS profile access

  • Providing technical support during the coordination meetings with (Nations/OCCAR) and A400M Program to support the customer requirements

  • Providing active support during the migration plans for new software versions (migration plan, non-regression tests, testing of the new functionalities, testing fixed bugs, etc)

  • Providing the list of new requirements identified during training, safety investigations, gaps process, etc

  • Local procedures management and improvement proposals based on user’s experience

  • Responding to Q-Pulse investigations and incidents as required 

  • Acting as the “voice of the customer”, providing input to the rest of the company to improve Airbus DS services and adapt them to customer needs and signed agreements

  • Leading digitalisation projects, developing smarter ways of supporting our Customer

  • Liaising and coordinating with the Part M, P145 and CAMO to ensure the MDS issues which cause an airworthiness impact are managed correctly

  • Assisting, coaching and providing governance to end users regarding MDS processes

  • Liaising with Airbus In Service Support (ISS) department, to ensure effective and efficient management of all the technical issues. 

  • Working closely with the GSD team to ensure the resolution of the queries are implemented as required

  • Proposing and implementing new tools and initiatives to enhance investigations, training, procedures and service performance

  • Supporting the SmartForce tools: testing, raise new requirements, etc

  • Collaborating with specialized teams to ensure seamless integration of MDS functionalities.

About you:

  • MDS experience is crucial to this role 

  • You have the ability to work with multi-national teams or complex organizational environments: Air Forces, ASCs (Airbus Support Centres), AIRBUS Central (teams from various siglum) and external providers 

  • You have the ability to work alone and organize itself in a challenging environment

  • You have the ability to review application logs and validation of the resolution to provide all the details to ISS

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • You may have a background in any A/C maintenance software discipline - being curious and interested in our full end-to-end process is the key! 

  • You may have some experience of the aircraft operational environment 

  • You may have some knowledge of airworthiness directives and services bulletins

  • You may have some IT system capabilities (excel, access, xml spy, SQL, PLSQL, etc)

  • You may have some knowledge of software engineering processes 

  • You may have some knowledge of web development

Due to the nature of the work, it is required that the jobholder be able to provide service in shifts and ‘out of office’ support as required by contractual obligations. 

The requirements of the role require you to satisfy the security clearance requirements necessary for access to a UK military establishment, and work in a security sensitive environment
