Your Role and Responsibilities
  • IBM Public Cloud Security testing services is seeking project manager to manage the coordination, scheduling, delivery, and reporting of penetration tests for IBM Public Cloud offerings.
  • The security testing services project manager is tasked with scoping tests with clients, coordinating internal and external resources, requesting and processing purchase orders, and documenting testing outcomes. Ancillary tasks include planning, methodology documentation, event documentation, providing support for planning or troubleshooting to others throughout IBM Public Cloud.
  • A prime candidate for this position will be passionate about IT Security and have a strong project management and operating security background with a focus on performing penetration tests.
  • Candidates should also have an interest and understanding of cloud theory and architecture with knowledge of virtualization and container computing. Candidates should have a desire to continue to focus on improving security across the service portfolio utilizing data driven decision making.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective conflict management, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques (e.g., CA PPM, MS Projects, JIRA, Visio, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall etc.)
  • Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking, excellent listening skills and being able to communicate clearly
  • Demonstrated creation and maintain risk/issue logs and escalate issues to stakeholders and project team as appropriate
  • 2+ years of knowledge and experience with security testing services, either traditional and/or cloud-based environments.
  • 2+ years of experience with security compliance guidelines for NIST 800-53.
  • 2+ years of demonstrated knowledge of the security testing industry, key business issues, and priorities.
  • Experience with SOC2, PCI, etc.
  • ITIL V3 Certification.
  • Added Advantage PMI certified (CAPM or PMP) |

  • Demonstrated creation and maintain risk/issue logs and escalate issues to stakeholders and project team as appropriate
  • 2+ years of demonstrated ability to manage multiple offerings and environments across a wide variety of customers with differing requirements.
  • 2+ years of experience allocating resources appropriately to meet client/program needs and minimize resource contention.
  • 2+ years of experience coordinating stakeholder meetings.
  • 2+ years of experience creating / managing an integrated master project plan across multiple offerings.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing PM professional skills to enhance the level of service and quality of client deliverables.
  • Ability to collect technical inputs and create solutions to meet client requirements.
  • Has managed an IT team in the past or performed other leadership tasks over team members
