Our Opportunity

Thales has an exciting new opportunity for a role focussing on a post signature contract. As a Contracts Manager, your primary responsibility will be the oversight of this significant and highly valued Programme within our Above Water Systems (AWS) business domain.

You will be working as part of the UK project delivery team. Overseeing the contractual affairs of AWS throughout the Project Life Cycle, identifying and ensuring the mitigation of commercial risk, and responsibility for the commercial aspects of Project Delivery.

Key tasks/Responsibilities:          

  • Providing the commercial voice and expertise across multi-functional and multi-cultural teams and providing support and guidance to the business.

  • Establish and maintain professional and effective relationships with customers, commercial representatives, and counterparts

  • Primarily supporting the delivery of a substantial programme for Thales UK.

  • Manage the contract baseline and lead contract change activities, with both the client and our internal stakeholders. 

  • Identifying and managing issues and disputes arising with customers in conjunction with the Legal function

  • Manage and resolve disputes and claims

                                                                    

About You

The successful candidate is expected to be a team player, a highly motivated self-starter, comfortable in dealing with senior members internally and in the Customer organisation and able to defend their decisions when challenged.  The individual will have demonstrated experience of post signature contract management of highly complex, high value contracts, and will be familiar with government contracting.

The successful individual will be SC security cleared, familiar with dealing with UK Official Sensitive or equivalent goods and information and above, and familiar with working on MS Office products as well as enterprise software systems.
