GM Israel R&D Labs is an applied research center focusing on creating and evaluating innovative concepts for future vehicles. Researchers at this center conduct independent research as well as collaborative projects with colleagues at GM, with academic and industrial partners, in Israel and abroad.

We're looking for a Senior Researcher in wireless and wireline connectivity.

What will YOU do:

• Join the research team and will conduct the research in one or more areas relevant to the automotive connectivity applications, such as: next generation cellular communication, next generation WiFi communication, wireline communication, statistical signal processing, sensor array processing, RF systems and antennas, waves propagation phenomenology, mmWave communication.

• Acquire knowledge and be closely familiar with the working principles of cellular modems and networks on the lower layers, WiFi PHY and lower MAC layers, analog / RF systems and circuitry and should be able to assess various tradeoffs of connectivity systems design.

• perform connectivity system engineering work, including requirements definitions, performance evaluation, integration with other sensing modalities, and management of applied research projects.

Additional Job Description

What are we looking for?

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Physics. Hands-on experience in research or development of signal processing algorithms, modem design, analog and RF systems, antennas, and wave propagation.

• Hands on work in the lab for basic proof of concept development and validation

• Proven research background (papers, reports, patents).

It’s an advantage if you have:

• Experience with cellular / WiFi / wireline connectivity systems research or development.

• Experience in management of applied research projects.
