Your Role and Responsibilities
Oracle Database Administrator are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients. As a Oracle Database Administrator with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network. Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most important resource data. You will need to visit the domestic client's offices / data centres on a daily basis or on an as-needed basis as part of this role.

Your Role & Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain database servers.
  • Manage and monitor DR Databases.
  • Manage and monitor Golden Gate Replication servers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
  • Install, upgrade, patching and manage database servers.
  • Create automation for repeating database tasks.
  • Develop processes for optimizing database security.
  • Performance tuning of database systems.
  • Set and maintain database standards.
  • Manage database access.
  • Be available for on-call support as needed
  • Ready to work on 24/7 shifts to support client requirement.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Min 5+ years of experience with experience in the following areas:
  • Strong command of SQL and Oracle tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Data guard.
  • Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
  • Advance knowledge of Oracle Golden Gate, ASM and RAC.
  • Understanding of relational and dimensional data modelling.
  • PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field
  • Experience AIX, Windows and Linux Server environments.
  • Experience with Oracle production database environment Golden Gate, ASM and RAC.
  • Extensive experience with one or more database technologies (Primary: Oracle. Secondary: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
