Job Description:

About the Role

You will support two research projects at SVHM aimed at improving cultural safety for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their families. These projects employ both quantitative and qualitative research methods to assess the current understanding of cultural safety among staff at SVHM and to identify any education and support needs. Based on these findings, cultural safety education and training will be provided and an evaluation of this training will be conducted.

  • Assist in research activities, including data analysis, conducting semi-structured interviews, thematic analysis and project write-up.

  • Work both independently and in close association with the Steering Committee to achieve the project's goals.

  • Assist in the development and administration of online quantitative and qualitative surveys.

  • Collaborate with senior staff in the development of reports and manuscripts for publication.

Classifications for this position will be HS3 ($74,448 - $80,433 per annum pro rata)
