Job Description

Datapath is a Tier-1 serverless platform for low-latency, high-throughput, federated logical microservices. If Amazon.com is conceptualized as a giant database application, Datapath fulfills a critical role as a distributed query engine. It runs business logic for features such as buying options, search, offer listings, and a host of computations for the Detail Page. Datapath’s logic federation and co-location features enable SDO teams that rely on other teams for pieces of their business logic to operate at the latency and efficiency of a monolithic service without compromising the benefits of service-oriented architecture.

We are looking for a passionate, technical, and results-oriented Principal Technical Program Manager to join our team. The Principal Technical Program Manager in the Datapath organization owns programs, planning, and client engagement. The L7 TPM builds internal mechanisms to maximize the capacity of Datapath across engineering teams spread across 4 locations. With hundreds of client teams, the L7 TPM, in partnership with peer PMTs, builds customer-facing mechanisms to improve roadmap prioritization, transparency, and customer satisfaction. Leaders in this space need to create a culture of innovation, encouraging their colleagues to find new and better ways to identify and solve problems.

The L7 TPM drives large programs, like reducing builder toil, improving cost of operations for Datapath and client teams, with significantly complex cross-functional technology initiatives. They remediate critical problems and manage escalations, as needed. They work on disambiguating complex requirements, driving clarity, building consensus and they define architectural strategies to meet the needs of Amazon builders developing logic for Datapath and improve their productivity by proposing solutions to streamline their experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
