The position requires exceptional analytical, communication, and property/facility operation skills. The qualified candidate must be able to think big picture while also going deep into details. Must have an executive presence, strong personal drive, and ability to hold him/herself accountable to deliver high-quality products on short timelines to senior leaders. Should have an innate curiosity to investigate potential risks, opportunities, and implications of various factors. Must be results-oriented to work with speed and agility. The ability to collaborate effectively with varied groups. Strong core problem-solving skills are required to deliver analyses and bring collaboration partners along in the process. This role will report directly to the Sr. Operations Director and will also have 3 - 6 direct facilities report.
 

Responsibilities:
 

Facility Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, cleanliness, and security.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient facility operations.

  • Regularly inspect facilities to identify issues and recommend improvements.

  • Keen focus on Client Experience

  • Work Closely with the Chief and Asst Chief Engineers daily

  • Frequently interact with Client C Suit

  • Assist the Sr. Operations Director in the management of all facility operations and business processes, aligned with initiatives to successfully deliver on Account objectives, ensuring visibility and effective, integrated service delivery across functional teams.

  • Manage program schedules, priorities, risks, and actions to ensure successful and on-time completion of team deliverables.

  • Seek out and leverage key stakeholders and subject matter experts to bring innovative ideas and leading practices to the team.

  • Establish as a trusted advisor and strong, collaborative relationship with the Client, peers, account leaders, operations, and SMEs.

  • Manage account training and development processes.

  • Assist in the development of strategies and plans, including Client’s assessment, communications, leadership alignment, gap analyses, organization transition, capability transfer, and end-user training.

  • Cultivate joint desired outcome expectations while working with change agents and communication colleagues to tailor plans for service lines.
     

Project Management:

  • Lead facility-related projects from inception to completion, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project goals, objectives, and success criteria.

  • Coordinate and manage all project phases, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

  • On larger project liaison with project team on all facets of the projects ensuring all work is coordinated with the normal building operations and client use

  • Ensure project turnover, commissioning, and closeout is performed properly.

  • Develop high-quality Client presentations for discussions at senior levels of the organization.

  • Dealing with Client specific queries in verbal/ written form.

  • Ensuring robust complaint management process is in place and is followed meticulously through the Account.

  • Communicating and circulating information to Client’s representative(s), as necessary

Vendor and Contractor Management:

  • Identify and engage external vendors and contractors for facility maintenance and construction projects.

  • Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

  • Negotiate contracts and secure competitive pricing for services.
     

Space Planning and Relocation:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop space plans that optimize facility utilization and support operational needs.

  • Coordinate office relocations, including furniture installation, IT equipment setup, and utilities transfer.

  • Communicate relocation plans to employees and provide necessary support during the transition.
     

Budgeting and Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage facility-related budgets, including capital expenditures, operating expenses, and project costs.

  • Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure financial targets are met.
     

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety standards.

  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards promptly.
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in facility management, with a focus on project management particularly in Class A High Rise Office Buildings.

  • Strong knowledge of construction, building systems, and facility maintenance.

  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Experience in vendor and contract management.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in facility management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Estimated total compensation ran for this position is:

180,000.00 – 200,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
