The Caribbean & Pacific team is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Ocean fulfilment team in Panama City, Panama. The team is responsible for planning and executing all aspects related to Customers promises and assets in a specific service scope, including container flows (empty and laden) and vessel scheduling activities.

 The Ocean fulfilment lead is responsible for on-time delivery of customers’ goods through optimal planning and execution. The role bridges commercial pursuits with operational efficiency, thereby achieving first-rate customer experience, process excellence and optimal cost.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain service delivery focus and ensure we deliver what we sold to our customers at the lowest possible cost.

• Responsible for optimizing network assets as well as externally procured capacity where appropriate within geographical scope.

• Monitor bookings and optimize space by adjusting allocation between load ports (rolling, rerouting) in conjunction with ROM colleagues including both laden and empty flow and strive for high utilization across all services through forecast accuracy and downfall analysis.

• Own vessel scheduling to meet reliability and delivery requirement, work with GEC, N&M and Maersk Ops to manage bunker consumption and drive reduction, coordinate delivery/re-delivery plan.

• Manage Scheduling, Berth planning & Proforma Management along with Bunker and port productivity efficiency.

• Participate and coordinate new deployments and optimization opportunities with Network and Marketing leads to underpin customer experience and network efficiency.

• Own and manage contingencies related to container operations, minimize end-to-end service delivery impact during contingency handling.

• Supports execution of empty flow plan within network by coordinating closely with equipment managers.

• Identify and suggest continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for

• The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree from a reputable education facility.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the industry.

• Proven track record of operational experience, a good understanding of the container business, and experience with data and business analysis.

• Comes with customer centric mindset, should be a diligent, self-disciplined, and upright individual, accepting personal ownership and drive results.

• Data driven and able to work autonomously and take calculated and independent decisions under high-pressure scenarios.

• Candidate should have good time management skills and ability to priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines with flexible attitude to working hours.

• You should be an excellent communicator who is able to interact with and convey ideas to cross-cultural teams and multiple stakeholders.

• Someone who is Enthusiastic, energetic and an effective team player.

• This role is only available for candidates located in Panama.
