In the ever-shifting world of business, staying ahead means being sharp at spotting changes and agile in responding to them. As an LCS Senior, you will experience this dynamic environment first-hand. You will dive into the licensing lifecycle, juggling tasks from allocating work and following up on missing details to supporting staff in preparation, reviewing forms, and getting bundles off to the US Leads. Beyond that, you will play a key role in coaching and growing your team members, helping them to shine on your engagement teams.

The opportunity

As a member of our expanding global team, you will take on a pivotal role, connecting with a broad spectrum of clients and colleagues. We provide a supportive environment that is specifically designed to complement your unique abilities and professional history. At EY, you will have the opportunity to not only advance your tax expertise but also to develop your leadership skills and business insight within a distinguished and professional context.

Your key responsibilities

•            Conduct thorough reviews and assessments of business license applications and renewals, ensuring adherence to data provided by the Client and compliance with regulatory standards.

•            Liaise with US local jurisdictions to address and resolve complex license processing issues or discrepancies, employing advanced problem-solving skills.

•            Oversee and prioritize individual workload, proactively managing license inventory to guarantee progression through the process within expected timeframes.

•            Engage in critical analysis during the licensing lifecycle, initiating relevant inquiries and contributing strategic insights to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of license issuance.

•            Manage and mentor team members, providing guidance and coaching to foster skill development and ensure the delivery of high-quality work in a timely manner.

•            Demonstrate effective communication skills, ensuring clear and concise interactions with team members, clients, and jurisdictional authorities.

•            Exhibit adaptability by adjusting strategies and approaches in response to changing business needs and regulatory environments.

•            Leadership abilities in setting clear objectives, motivating team members, and fostering a culture of compliance excellence.

Skills and attributes for success

•            Outstanding communication and advanced organizational skills for high-level project coordination.

•            Proven ability to work independently and take initiative with minimal supervision.

•            Strong time management with a track record of meeting tight deadlines.

•            High proficiency in English for professional written and verbal interactions.

•            Exceptional attention to detail for accurate and thorough work output.

•            Skilled in prioritizing tasks to align with strategic business goals.

•            Flexible and adaptable to rapidly changing business environments.

•            Demonstrated leadership as a committed team player.

•            Knowledgeable about when and how to escalate critical issues.

•            Sharp critical thinking and research skills for in-depth analysis.

•            Solid documentation abilities to maintain superior quality of deliverables.

To qualify for the role, you must have…

•            Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

•            Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

•            The ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly.

•            A flexible mindset, adaptable to changing situations and challenges.

Ideally, you’ll also have…

•            Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues.

•            Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

•            The ability to adapt your work style to work with both internal and client team members.
