The Business Execution Lead role is a senior-level position within the Chief Operating Office organization. This role will be responsible for supporting the organizational vision to drive efficient operations and alignment to strategic imperatives. This role will also be cross functional while supporting and interacting with 3 lines of business, internally. This team drives the overall administrative activities of the business. These tasks may include managing internal and external audits, safety and soundness activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Execution Lead coordinates and manages activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs and ad hoc projects as necessary. Additionally, will drive efficiencies across the teams, support employee engagement activities, and overall maintain organization and time management of deliverables.

Responsibilities:

  • Synthesize information into executive ready views for Technology, and Enterprise level senior executives, including CIO, CFO and CEO updates​ (i.e., Monthly Operating Reviews, Townhalls, Leadership offsites as applicable)

  • Maintained a broad understanding across disciplines to make connections to enhance storytelling

  • Responses to regulatory and IA requests are accurate and timely, leveraging strong partnerships

  • Drive administrative, operational, reporting and quality improvements through partnership with internal teams

  • Strengthen partnerships across the different business and tech sectors to ensure coordinated approach 

  • Strong operations, risk, control, and technology capabilities to understand concepts and logic to drive synergies in solutions

  • Monthly review of department's financial outlook compared to plan and drive changes within the team within the levers available to keep the expense within the plan numbers.

  • Responsible for all cross product technology, regulatory and administrative duties in conjunction with the team, including financial, staffing, quality, risk and regulatory matters

  • Execute vendor management activities, including ensuring legal requirements are met and coordinating contract negotiation and processing

  • Ensure headcount is accurate, manage the headcount (employee/contractor) review and approval process, and ensuring termination of resources are managed

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

  • Strong project management and problem-solving capabilities and ability to understand adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Develop strong, trust-based relationships with critical internal business partners

  • Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement

  • Excellent relationship management and consulting skills with proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, execute with limited information and ambiguity

  • Capable of driving initiatives within businesses, function, and across the enterprise. Ability to communicate strategic insights and updates with executive stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders, preferably in financial services and/or technology

  • Executive storytelling – experience synthesizing complex material into executive ready views, through various lenses

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analytically, and creatively problem solve

  • Aptitude to understand technology concepts & capabilities

  • Ability to translate technical language into “so what” business speak

  • Facilitators with senior leaders - guiding and challenging

  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments, demonstrating versatility & team player in all environments with diverse skill sets and cultures

  • Consistently demonstrate concise and impactful written and verbal communication

  • Experienced in project management with excellent organizational, follow-up and time management skills

  • Expert in Microsoft Office product suite – especially Excel and PowerPoint

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master's degree preferred
