Job Description:

We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent’s kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do.

As a Casual Maintenance Officer (Roving) you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent’s Care across all our four homes in Victoria – Kew, Hawthorn, Eltham and Werribee.

Reporting to the Victorian State Manager, you will be responsible for providing support and coverage to the existing Maintenance Officers across all our homes.

A central location and a full driver's licence and own reliable vehicle will be required for this position – with a travel allowance provided.

  • Scheduling and arranging contractors for specialist repairs
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to problem solve;
  • Sound Microsoft office skills
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to follow directives from the Maintenance Lead
  • Aged or Community care experienced will be highly regarded but open to training on the job for the right candidate
  • National Police Certificate (within the last 6 months)
