Job Description

Global Payroll Quality Assurance (GPQA) team currently performs different types of audits, where the primary objective of these audits is to identify risk that leads to either revenue impact (over/underpayments) or bad employee experience and also performs bank account controls (Pre and Post Payroll Processing). GPQA team’s goal is to assess whether existing governance, risk management and control processes over Payroll management are adequate and effective, and to mitigate the risk of any potential financial leakage. We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic candidate to join the fast-paced world of Global Payroll Audits team responsible for performing audits to prevent risk of overpayment/ underpayments and deep dive into process risk process and vulnerabilities. We’re looking for an individual with outstanding auditing, problem solving skills, payroll process combined with payroll system knowledge, and customer service passion. High judgment and effective decision-making is important for this role, possessing excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities also include:
-Need to work with Operational Excellence (OE) Automation team to perform the UAT/report any issues while building the Alteryx workflows and performing the automation to make sure that the controls are effectively driven on a timely basis.
-Partner with Payroll Ops/Global Payroll Payments (GPP) teams to get the transactional data to perform the banking controls. Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and inspected regularly (i.e., daily)
-Conduct audits/analysis and dive deep on banking controls on a daily basis
-Identify the variances and report the audit findings to Payroll operations team for review and corrections.
-Collaborate with Payroll Controllership regional owners to communicate the potential risk and work towards the resolution of the same in partnership with various stakeholders.
-Able to perform process deep dive and identify any new risks or opportunities.
-Identify process gaps and work with upstream partners to mitigate the defects.
-Competent to review existing processes and recommend audits/controls and should be able to apply analytical thinking for resolving audit findings.
-Promote excellence through a culture of continuous improvement in our processes and key business inputs.


A day in the life
Analyst will perform banking audits to mitigate any financial loss or avoid bad employee experience. Attend the weekly team meetings/stakeholders basis the need. Collaborate with the upstream teams such as Payroll Operations, GPP, OE automation teams etc.,

Identify the historical trends on the audits performed and suggest any improvements for enhancement/scope of the existing audit/controls.


About the team
Global Payroll Quality Assurance (GPQA) team was formed in collaboration with the Payroll Controllership (PC) team to establish a model, which was able to assess the known and potential risks to develop control mechanisms. GPQA primarily work with upstream teams such as Payroll Operations, Employee Services (ES), Employee Resource Center (ERC), HR Ops etc. while performing the audits in order to address the risks in any of the upstream processes. The team strives for continuous improvement in order to maintain a relentlessly high bar, enhance organizational processes and controls, seeking opportunities to reduce errors and mitigate risk globally.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting and commerce (B. Com)
- 2+ years of fraud audits/risk investigations experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization.
- Strong analytical skills, and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 3+ years of finance operations/shared services, accounts payable, account receivable (collections) or general ledger experience
- Hands on experience in handling Alteryx applications.
- Experience in advanced excel (like macros, VBA etc.,)
