Summary: 
The Transportation Coordinator will gather and organize the daily work orders for the transportation dept. Working in concert with the dispatch team, this role will ensure the timely delivery and return of all containers and trailers. Will work with all members of the transportation team and warehouse complex to ensure all internal and external needs are met while delivering the highest level of customer service. The position will monitor KPIs for transportation.

Key responsibilities:
• Communicates daily with Customers, Contract Drivers, Rail yard Personnel, and internal service representatives.
• Support safety requirements for transportation.
• Records and audits all documents for equipment tracking.
• Properly dispatch containers in system and ensure timely service.
• Develops and maintains a positive working rapport with customers & transportation partners.
• Process and complete all documentation assigned in a timely manner.
• Work in a fast-paced environment.
• Collects and organizes daily delivery orders. Works closely with dispatch to ensure all deliveries are met in a timely manner.
• Works with settlement team to submit all billing in a timely manner.
• Ensures the accuracy of chassis invoicing and its prompt processing with the corporate finance team
• Assists personnel to handle day-to-day work when the department is short handed.
• Supports the company’s commitment to Integrated Management Systems (IMS) certifications.
• Performs job related duties as specified by management.
• Conduct training as required for owners/operators and Hudd colleagues; provide input on monthly reports as directed; distribute and post safety related communications throughout the facility as directed.

Experience:
• 1+ years relevant experience with Port Terminal operations, preferred but not required
•Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
•High School Diploma GED; College degree preferred

Soft Skills:
• Capable of multi-tasking and maintaining appropriate organizational skills within a busy environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Self-starter attitude

Pay Range:  
     

$19-$21 an hour
 

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location.  The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
