Job Description:

As Digital Transformation Specialist/Trainer you will lead the high-impact portfolio, bridge technology and business need, and deliver tangible results.

You are accountable for developing, implementing and executing the IT capability within that practice area to plan and build IT solutions resulting from Business of Functions.

You will work in a multinational team dealing with one or more projects/programs and act as single point of contact (SPOC) towards IT Technology and the business for these transformational projects/programs. You are responsible for interaction with functional/business unit leadership to monitor and execute the projects/ programs.

Your responsibilities

  • The first and key responsibility of this role is to build a global training team to support the Power Grids Transformers (PGTR) as their PLM program drives PLM best practices and tools out to our 70+ global factories

  • As PLM Training Manager, you will define the organization and various training approaches to achieve Organizational Change Management, to train users in Hitachi Transformers best practices processes in the PLM Digitalization space. The Training team will also train users in how to use Windchill PLM and associated tools the Hitachi transformers way

  • Build internal/external training team and train them fully in how we deploy PLM tools and processes for PGTR

  • Strengthen our global PLM key user community’s training

  • Build a PLM/Windchill certification program for various functions in our user base

  • Perform hands-on training to our factories

In this role you will also spend 50% of time for now on new-factory PLM deployment projects, to fully gain deep knowledge in how our factories work, and how we will adapt those processes for our future use of PLM. Therefore, in this role, the Global PLM Training Manager also:

  • Help define the Windchill solution and ensures alignment with other modules, business processes, and surrounding IS applications through cooperation and collaboration across IS technical solution architects and IS delivery units

  • Provide project management for specific PLM enhancement projects, together with expert technical, architectural, and operational resources as team members

  • Provide strong, assertive project leadership for new factory deployments and process transformation surrounding PLM practices in our global locations

  • Help lead organizational change management in the PGTR transformers organization surrounding PLM topics, helping guide the business to PLM best practices to fulfill their requirements

Your background

  • At least five years of experience as a business analyst in the Engineering PLM domain using Windchill, preferably for the engineering/manufacturing industry, working inside a leading, major global company, with at 10 years work experience with Digital Transformation

  • Substantial comfort and experience interacting with factory and engineering experts, preferably with some background in user training/teaching in the PLM domain

  • Comfortable working closely with I.T. counterparts to help them capture, document, and refine complex customer requirements (both high-level and detailed) within your area of expertise

  • Experience in usage principles of CAD design products and how they relate to PLM programs

  • Must have strong international background and perspective and experience, and must be willing to travel to target factories occasionally for 1-2 weeks at a time, though most work will be done with the global team remotely

  • Proficient in PLM domain-specific skills, problem solving, analytical thinking, stakeholder management

  • Highly proactive and results-driven attitude, ability to take ownership of projects and show a track record of delivering several projects in parallel

  • Experience and ability to work with virtual delivery teams as well as distributed stakeholders in multinational companies

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English in a global multi-cultural, diverse environment as a must

  • Strong understanding of PTC's Windchill PLM highly advantageous
