About the role

Maersk is currently seeking a Market Risk Analyst to join our dynamic Energy Markets team. As a Market Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing market risk and ensuring the success of our energy trading activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to explain market moves and trends
Update and maintain existing tools and frameworks to support risk management processes
Review and enhance existing processes to streamline operations and reduce manual steps
Supervise and integrate multiple projects to support business objectives
Write documentation and requirements to ensure transparency and accountability
Challenges you will face:
Increasing demands for analysis to explain market movements
Growing product base requiring updates to tools and frameworks
Need to automate processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual tasks
Multiple projects running concurrently, requiring careful supervision and integration
What are we looking for
Basic financial skills and understanding of market risk and value at risk concepts
Proficiency in data technical skills such as Python, R, and SQL
Programming experience to support data manipulation and analysis
