Salesforce Inc. seeks Software Engineering LMTS in San Francisco, CA:

Job Duties: Work on call in a Global support (follow the sun model). Support extremely dynamic productions databases in a 7x24x365 following the sun model with minimal impact on the customer. Perform root cause analysis with a very deep and detailed explanation of the incidents and the mitigation path. Providing case approval and execution. Maintain database security and compliance. Apply quarterly DB PSU/OS patches to the entire db fleet to have latest bug fixes and security updates. Automate and enhance the patching automation tools. Maintaining 99+% compliance for the entire db fleet. ˆHQ address additionally encompasses the following Salesforce locations in San Francisco: 350 Mission Street, 415 Mission Street, and 50 Fremont Street. The permanent position may be offered at any of these locations in San Francisco. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field. 

A related technical degree required (Computer Science, Engineering (any field)).

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Oracle 10g/11g/19c; (2) Oracle on Linux and RAC; (3) Oracle Enterprise Manager tool set; (4) RMAN for backup recovery; (5) Data Guard and ASM; (6) Shell Scripting; (7) Perl; (8) PL/SQL; (9) Oracle utilities like Data-pump, patching;  (10) Database upgrade; and (11) Python Development. Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to Salesforce offices may be required.

Salary: $176,800.00 - $265,200.00 per annum.
