Technology Consulting Sub-Service Line

 

In Technology Consulting (TC), we seek to deliver long-term value to our clients, our society and our teams by applying the power of technology, data and ecosystems to unlock human potential and transform businesses. Our technology capabilities, alongside Business Consulting and other service line capabilities, position us to help our clients to transform their business at speed and achieve their strategic ambitions.

 

As a Consultant in our Technology Consulting team in the Caribbean, you’ll will have the opportunity to learn, broadening your competencies in the areas of Technology Strategy and Transformation, IT and Digital Strategy, Performance Improvement, Digital Engineering, Ai and data and Technology Project Management. You’ll be conducting Technology related assessments, diagnosing issues using qualitative and quantitative analysis, advising clients on technology-driven solutions, new operating models or supporting the implementation of technologies.

Our Technology Consultants have the opportunity to: 

• Identify a purposeful “Why” for IT and Digital transformations, and establish an engaging platform for change 
• Develop capability and IT operating models that introduce differentiated performance and innovative ways of delivering technology 
• Challenge IT sourcing strategies and move them from cost plays to a foundation for innovation, scalability and flexibility

 

Your key responsibilities

 

You will focus on driving transformation leveraging technology in alignment with the priorities of our clients. In performing your duties, you will team with various EY groups with specialized capabilities to pursue and deliver IT-related engagements and deliver solutions that will bring our client’s digital vision and strategy to life.

Additional core responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and delivery of high-quality Technology Strategy and Transformation, IT and Digital Strategy, Performance Improvement, Digital Engineering, Ai and data and Technology Project Management projects, to clients within the Caribbean region  
• Demonstrate strength of expertise on highly technical engagements around IT operating model design, transformation technology solution delivery, enterprise and technology architecture design, systems implementation and integration 
• Provide clear, complete, concise, and high-quality documentation around all deliverables 
• Delivery of presentations on any of the above topics to client Executives 
• Balance client projects, support new business development and practice development activities, while with complying with Company’s standards 
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel as well as build strong internal relationships within EY Advisory Services and with other services across the Firm
• Work effectively as a team member, provide coaching and mentorship, share in and provide support for project engagement responsibilities, maintain clear and concise communication, and update senior team members as necessary  
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation 
• Develop and support teams building strong delivery capabilities 
• Publish thought leadership, continuously improve our methods, and help manage the firm’s risk

• Developing cohesive, compelling strategic visions of how technology transforms the business models of our clients 
• Coach leaders in client organizations in positioning the technology transformation vision and engaging stakeholders at all levels to support the proposed direction 
• Assessing client’s technology model and identifying where to play (technology enabled value drivers) and how to win (the organization of technology capabilities) 
• Providing broad technical and functional knowledge of various key technology and business platforms 
• Collaborating closely with EY technology and  business  consulting practices  to drive broad transformation programs at clients 
• Teaming with client technology professionals, and third-party strategic alliances 
• Identifying advisory market trends, needs at clients, pursuit strategies and working with pursuit teams in business development and pursuits 
• Developing long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally 
• Interacting and communicating effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives
• Flexible to work remotely and to work more than standard hours when necessary 
• Strong project management skills 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills  

To qualify for the role, you must have 

• Minimum of  a Bachelor's  degree  in  Information  Technology,  Computer  Science,  Information
• Systems, or a related field, from a recognized tertiary  institution 
• Additional professional qualifications, such as PRINCE2®, PMP, PMBOK, SAFe or Diploma Level in  Project  Management  or  similar  discipline  from  a  recognized  tertiary  institution  or accreditation body 
• Minimum of 3 years with related work experience, and at least 1 or more years of in a leadership
  role, with demonstrated experience in delivering projects within the Technology transformation and implementation spheres 
• Experience in one or more of our focus industries including Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, Consumer Goods, Tech and Media, Advanced Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 
• Experience and an understanding of varying technologies and systems including but not limited to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Systems, Digital Workplace, Cloud infrastructure, Data & Analytics tools , Robotics Process Automation (RPA), Emerging Tech, IoT, Blockchain, and AI 
• Ability to translate Technology strategy into measurable business benefits 
• Have a track record of delivery within multiple medium-to-large-scale technical transformation projects           
• Strong leadership and team building skills 
• Good written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills
• Experience in using productivity and collaboration tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Teams.
