Job Description:
Context
In 2022, Airbus created Airbus Beluga Transport (AiBT) in Toulouse, France, to deliver outsized charter transport services to Airbus other divisions and external customers (civilian and military) with 4 to 5 Beluga ST aircrafts, in view of generating new service revenues.
Flights were first operated under ATI AOC. And Airbus Beluga Transport has operated the flights under its own AOC since Q4 2023.
In that frame, the Airbus Beluga Transport subsidiary is looking for a Flight manager.
Accountabilities
As Flight manager, you will join the Operations Strategy and Planning team, who is in charge of coordinating and preparing missions, maintaining and optimizing AIBT short-term and long-term Flight Programme and improving AIBT operational model.
As each mission is prepared as a project, Flight Managers are part of the preparation team. As Flight Manager, you will get a wide view on AIBT operational challenges and you will be a key stakeholder for the preparation and optimization of Beluga missions.
You will be responsible to:
Coordinate and propose a mission end to end routing to ensure the highest standard of safety while answering to Mission Leader’ inputs (e.g. mission scenario based on customer and payload informations) and taking into account all other routing constraints (A/C maintenance, flight operations, flight crews, ground operations, weather, security, cost, sanitary requirements, accesses, available support during stops, customs, flying permits…).
Manage the preparation of the subcontracted handling and service provider and associated returns of experience
Brief the OCC and operational teams on routing preparation status, risks and opportunities for handover between D-7 and D-3.
Deliver feasibility study analysis with regard to routing options, adapted to mission specificities.
Propose and drive continuous improvement tasks and projects, e.g.: generic routing optimization based on operational experience and AIBT operational context, airport database update, development of Flight manager procedures, instructions and tools.
Act as back-up of the Flight Programme manager for short term Flight Programme management.
You are also expected to develop necessary skills to become one of the Operational Crisis Team (OCT) managers. In this role, you will be responsible to lead the OCT working briefings and make operational decisions, so as to provide an adapted response to the circumstances when the OCT is triggered during missions.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification:
Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering / Air Operations / Air Transport Operations
Knowledge & Experience:
>2 years, in airline operations context
knowledge of Flight Dispatch is mandatory for the position
on the job Internal training is possible
Extensive airline OCC experience can also be considered for the position, if accompanied with a track record in projects (management or contribution).
Language:
Negotiation level in English and French mandatory

This role will require 24/7 stand-by activities.
