Your Role and Responsibilities
Professional safety officers in Thailand contribute significantly to a safer work environment for employees and a more sustainable business operation for companies. The job responsibilities include:

Compliance and Regulations
  • Overseeing adherence to Thai safety, health, and working environment laws and regulations.
  • Regularly inspecting workplaces to identify and address any non-compliance issues.
  • Staying updated on changes in relevant regulations and advising employers on necessary adjustments.
Risk Assessment and Prevention
  • Proactively assessing potential hazards within the workplace.
  • Analyzing work processes and projects to identify safety risks.
  • Implementing preventive measures to minimize the likelihood of accidents and injuries.
  • Recommending and overseeing the implementation of safe work procedures.
Training and Awareness
  • Developing and delivering training programs on occupational health and safety (OH&S) for employees.
  • Educating staff about safety protocols, hazard identification, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Promoting a culture of safety within the organization.
Incident Management
  • Investigating work-related incidents and injuries to determine root causes.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports on workplace accidents and safety issues.
  • Recommending corrective actions and preventive measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Liaison and Communication
  • Collaborating with company management to integrate safety measures into overall operations.
  • Maintaining communication with relevant government agencies on safety compliance matters.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Conducting safety audits and recommending improvements.
  • Managing safety data and records.
  • Participating in emergency preparedness planning and drills.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as safety engineering or occupational health.
  • Complete specific safety officer training programs as mandated by Thai law.
  • Knowledge of regional regulations /standards
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Proactively engaged self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Country of posting
  • High level work ethics and attitude.


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in safety engineering or occupational health.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in applying occupational health and safety principles
  • Experience covering a broad type of work environments
