Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be an advocate for our IBM customers.
You will help our customers resolve common issues that arise in the field by providing them self-diagnosing tools
You will be responsible for development in the Cloud Infrastructure Storage area, implementing and consuming APIs in the Cloud Infrastructure environment.
You will design and develop storage integrations to enable and support Cloud Platform business efforts.
You will implement and automate infrastructure solutions that support IBM Cloud products and infrastructure.
You will keep our Storage services up and running, and if they are down, you will work to get them back up and running quickly.
You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that our services and infrastructure meet security, SLA, and performance requirements.
You will automate your work including infrastructure needs, testing, failover solutions, failure mitigation, etc..
You will stand up and maintain pre-production and development environments to support the entire development organization
You will use metrics and analytics to determine reliability issues and remove these issues through automation and tooling.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Strong communication skills
Proficient in Python scripting and Go Lang programming
10+ years of working experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred, RHEL, CentOS) and Windows Servers
5+ years of experience in administrating and developing tooling and automation for File and Block storage technologies such as NFS and iSCSI
Strong experience with virtualization technologies: KVM, VMware,
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Working knowledge with ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, and GitHub
Working knowledge with Container technologies: Kubernetes, Docker,
Experience with supporting a Cloud service and customers
