Introduction
As a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and integrating software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients' business environment and achieve business results.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The IBM Client Innovation Centre (CIC): Nova Scotia occupies a unique position in the IT marketplace – at the intersection of business and technology.

SAP is multinational software corporation that develops enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations. IBM is a premier SAP business partner with a large team located at our Halifax CIC. Since 2013 our SAP practice has nurtured the careers of our new graduates from entry level independent consultants to roles in leadership positions. You will have support from multiple years of previous new graduates who have grown their careers within the IBM SAP practice and can provide mentorship. Our SAP practice offers both technical and functional career paths.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology. As a member of our team, you will help IBM clients solve some of their most challenging business problems, capitalize on market opportunities and achieve real value in today’s tough economy.

SAP Roles and Responsibilities may include:

• System Developer: Learn to code and develop solution to client problems using SAP’s proprietary language ABAP (similar to C++). Create integration solutions to connect SAP systems, or SAP to other 3rd party systems.
• Business Intelligence\\Business Warehouse: Learn how to analyze and consolidate business information into reports and models clients use to make critical business decisions.
• BASIS: Learn the middleware and operating system that support SAP applications and databases.
• Security: Learn how to provide access to valid SAP users and prevent unauthorized usage.
Human Capital Management and SuccessFactors: Learn all the functions involved in managing the employee lifecycle from recruiting to separation
• Finance and Controls: Learn how companies manage their financial records using SAP.
• Logistics and Material Management: Learn how SAP helps clients manage their supply chain

Candidates must:

• Have graduated no earlier than 2022, and will be graduating no later than 2024
• Have an Associate’s Degree, College Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree by date of employment
• Exception: This program does not accept MBA or PhD candidates/graduates
• Have no more than 2 years of full-time professional related work experience
• Be eligible to work in Canada without current or future needs for visa sponsorship
• Be willing and able to live and work in Nova Scotia, with minimal travel anticipated
• Must be eligible for clearance and have lived in Canada for 5 - 10 years

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• You have the ability to work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand requirements, design, code and test innovative applications, and support those applications for our highly valued customers
• You have strong excel skills and enjoy making meaningful evaluations of a given set of data (tables, excel files etc.)
• You enjoy working in a team environment with team members of a diverse background and skill set along with being comfortable working on your own to complete individual assigned tasks
• You enjoy working with the public and have demonstrated excellent customer experience skills
• You will have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and executives
• You have the ability to learn new processes, coach and direct team members
• You enjoy problem solving and delivering innovative solutions to complex problems that address client needs
• You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues
• You have experience coding and using databases
• You have basic knowledge or hands on coding experience in one or more of the following technology areas: C++, C, Java, JavaScript, Angular, React, Python, SQL, ASP .NET
